oh what a week this has been!
the rain. oh the rain… will it ever go away? at this point i’m not sure it will. our house has been leaking water from all sides and it’s quite the time-consumer to constantly watch/clean up after. water is so frustrating! it’s been coming up through the foundation, dripping out of light fixtures, forming pouches between the paint and drywall (DRYwall…oh the irony), and finding cracks in the ceiling to drip through. SO, needless to say, i haven’t gotten much of anything done this week!
EXCEPT!
after months and months of begging the hubs, we finally moved our bedroom to the “other” room. it’s hard to explain if you haven’t seen our house but we basically have 3 rooms (excluding kitchen and bathroom). the front room is our living room, the second room comes next with a very small closet and a window that is right above the pool equipment (hello moisture and chlorine smell!). the third room has a large closet, built in desk/bookshelves, sliding glass doors and the bathroom, but is much smaller than room number 2. for the last 2 years our bedroom has been in room number 2, despite the small closet and pool smell. with all the leaking going on i had to pull all of our clothes out of the wet closet and ta-daa perfect opportunity arises to switch our bedroom to room number 3… afterall, the closet is half the work! so, to make this long story longer (ha!) my wonderfully helpful sister-in-law came over on thursday and we got to work! the boys handled the fridge (it’s too big for our kitchen, yes our kitchen is that small-it’s a longer story) and the bed frame and us ladies did the rest! the before/after pictures will have to wait for another post but at the end of a very long two days of moving, re-arranging, organizing and decorating the hubs painfully admitted that he likes the house better this way and i am a happy lady.
one of these days i’ll get back to my usual routine, but first i gotta figure out where i left my brain and on what day it was exactly that i lost it… wish me luck. ;)
