“I like the way you move”
Yesterday was a perfect day. So perfect in fact, that today I feel hungover… and it’s not from drinking. Still trying to figure out how that works. It probably has something to do with sixteen roller-coaster rides. Yep… sixteen.

Last weekend as I was gazing at the passing scenery on my way home from Stockton I spotted a magical place which I had not visited in a dreadfully long amount of time. Six Flags Magic Mountain. I immediately sent a text to someone that I knew, 100% guarantee, would be just as excited as I was about this sighting: my sister-in-law. Without any convincing necessary, she was in. We decided that we needed two more people to make this an official roller-coaster extravaganza and in flooded memories of the good ol’ days with our friends Michelle and Juli. Perfect.
Phone calls were made, and the date was set. Everything was working out magically. We even scored a deal (which ended the day after we went!) that landed us season passes for the price of regular one-day admission, plus since there were four of us buying passes we scored a free parking season pass as well (usually $60!). A-mazing.
We got there right as they were opening and with map in hand, set off on one wild adventure after another. The weather was perfect, moderately cloudy with bits of sunshine and light rain on our last ride and walk out of the park. Luckily for us, most people don’t consider that weather to be perfect and we walked right on probably 12 out of the 16 rides we went on…the park was empty. The day could not have been more perfect. We all wanted to go on the same rides, avoid the same rides, got hungry at the same time, and yes, even needed bathroom breaks at the same time. That may all sound silly, but when a group, even a small one, goes to an amusement park together (especially for the first time) there are a lot of variables that can make the day not so fun. Not this group… we couldn’t have been a better amusement park troop. The beginnings of many traditions began that day… trips to the car, pizookies and more. So much laughter. But enough about the amazingness of it all and on to the fun part: pictures… lots and lots of pictures.

Despite being dressed as a Narnian this guy could answer zero of Michelle’s questions regarding the land beyond the Wardrobe. (And we could barely contain our laughter)

Being the shortest one in the bunch, the giants kept making jokes about me being too short for the rides.

Juli had camera duty for Revolution… 20 very funny, and very embarrassing pictures resulted… think we’ll keep those between the four of us for now. ;) haha.

She also had camera duty for the Buccaneer Pirate Ship. I was taking a video and texting it to the hubs mid-flight… clearly this is one of the more death-defying and terrifying of the rides. Much more so than Deja Vu, Tatsu, and X2. (Our top three faves, which were so scary and exciting that we laughed uncontrollably all the way through and at the end of each one, even the second time around…)

It started sprinkling right as we were click-click-clicking our way up Goliath, which we had planned to be our last ride of the day. BTW, in case you’re curious: Rain drops at 85mph are quite painful… I believe I described them as little daggers mid-flight. Here we are post-ride about to head to the most amazing dinner ever at BJ’s Restaurant… I actually woke up this morning (almost afternoon- eek) and thought I had dreamed dinner… nope, it was real folks.

Cheers to a perfect day. (Yes, Michelle is cheers-ing with a mushroom. They were delicious, okay? )
One last thing: In case you’re extra super curious about what it was like to be right there with us on the roller-coaster, come ride along with us on Goliath… because we take videos.
Please pardon the mild profanity: While we know it is against park regulations to use profanity, 16 roller coasters tend to cause loose morals. Haha.
Also: Michelle’s last words are priceless…
