This was the card that we made for Daddy ;)
Happy Valentines Day!!

my wedding veil and wedding shoes… they look so big next to her! (they’re only a size 6!)
my veil again and our wedding rings!

Seven years ago (that long, really?) I went on the trip of a lifetime. Ten days in Italy… split between Venice, Verona, Florence, Assisi, Rome (& Vatican City) and Pompeii. It was heaven. (No really, I’m convinced that heaven consists of a never-ending vacation in Italy, just wait and see…) Being the photo-nut that I am I took along with me 22 rolls of film in a giant ziploc bag, and used every. single. one. For the last few years I have wanted to get my negatives scanned into digital copies and a couple weeks ago I finally did it! Putting the magical disc from Costco into my computer had me feeling like a kid on Christmas morning. Not actually doing the math, I thought there would be at least a thousand pictures to go through and it turned out to only be around 500. 500?! I went to the most magical place in the whole world and ONLY took 500 pictures?!?! Yes. I did. All I can say is that…
1. Now this means I must go back. YES!
2. Thank God for the digital age where I can take thousands and thousands of pictures without lugging around two, three…FOUR giant ziploc bags full of film! (Not to mention the quality of my film was SO much lower than even my measly 10.1MP Canon is now.)
But enough about that and on to the good stuff… the pictures! No, I won’t make you look through all 500 of them, just some of my favorites :)

(this is three different pictures patched together!)

Photography can actually make life a little easier!
i’m not gonna lie… sometimes i have way too much time on my hands and this little bookie might happen. maybe. just sayin. i’m actually really busy. totally have time for this…
on a serious note though… this thing could save hours of my life trying to pick out an outfit and then putting away all the clothes i didn’t decide to wear that ended up on the floor back in the closet.
her images leave me completely speechless. and thus i don’t even know what to say.
i am currently the proud owner of two of her giant books (thanks hubby) and hope to one day have all of them, plus giant magnificent prints hanging in my house… that would be glorious. yes.
here’s one that i just came across for the first time… it doesn’t leave me speechless, but it does leave me laughing. and laughter is fun. AL took it for vanity fair’s “comedy’s new legends”

seriously though… if you’ve never seen her work google her… i don’t know how she does it. pure genius.
posted some new pics to my photo blog, this one included… check ‘em out! ;)

the first video is cute ‘n all… but this is the real version…
you know that part about “when the boys are away?” yeah… not so much.
it’s kinda hard to surprise someone when they come home early… ;)
my new 70-300mm lens and timer-remote shutter in the mail…
also, about to bust out a light box to photograph stuff for my etsy store, of which i will share a link as soon as i get the new stuff posted. but if you can’t wait, there is now a little linky-poo on “my pages” ;)
(you can probably wait though…jus’ sayin… it’s nothing you haven’t seen before if you’ve checked out the photograhobbie)
love love love.
